At AION, we help connect riders [passengers] with drivers in an instant without the hassle of wait or uncertainty. With our easy-to-use app, passengers get a licensed accredited and commercially insured vehicles in couple of quick taps. AIONis not a transportation company nor does it employ any drivers.

At AIONwe facilitate a range of cars for hire including luxury hire cars, limos, people movers, vans, economy and other cheaper car options. The hire prices are very affordable for the convenience and luxury they provide. The AION App is available in Apple Store and Google Play for download.

      14. Pickup requirements for special occasions, functions, sporting events, travel:

If you are going to a party, any sporting event or on a night out drinking binge,just pre-book our service and we will ensure a suitable vehicle picks you up and returns you to your destination safely. You do not need to carry credit cards or cash to pay as fare will be deducted automatically from your pre-registered card.

We take the security of your personal information very seriously. It is stored securely via certificated encrypting systems and we will follow the AION published privacy policy guidelines available on our Website.

We also use PCI compliant service payment provider who meets all safety regulations according to the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS) to store your credit card information. And if you think that sounds all official and very secure, that’s because it is.

    1. How much does it cost?

The app is free to download, there are no hidden charges.

There is a fare estimator in the App. This provides an estimate of the fare you would be expected to pay. However, actual fare may vary depending on road traffic conditions, delays and the like, which cannot be anticipated beforehand. The fares are very affordable.

We don’t have surge pricing and we do not charge extra during high peak demand times. We always provide fair fares to our customers. We provide the most inexpensive rides during the peak period compared to others.

After they arrive at the pickup location, our drivers will advise you of their arrival using the ‘Arrival Alert’ system. You need to keep your mobile phone switched on to receive this notification. They will wait for the next 10 minutes without any wait time charges. You may directly contact the Driver and make mutually suitable time arrangements if you think you will get delayed more than that. The Driver’s mobile number will be sent to you with the booking confirmation.


Our drivers do not charge a ‘Run In Fee’ (in other words, they don’t start the journey while onway to picking you up) and once they reach the pickup location, and have let you know they are there, they will wait for10 minutes before starting the journey, unless otherwise agreed with you.

    1. Can I pay by credit or debit card for Hire Cars?

      The payments are only by credit cards nominated during registering with us. You don’t need to carry any cards or cash payments with be deducted automatically. The system of payment is cashless.


      You cannot pay the Driver by cash or card at the end of the trip. If your debit card is used as a credit card then it can be used during the registration process. However, cards associated with savings and checking accounts cannot be used for registration purposes.

    2. What is the minimum fare?

      The minimum fare is AUD 36.00 on Pre-Bookings of Any Available vehicle. And on Next Available service our Minimum Price is AUD 25.00 of Any Available vehicle.

    3. Any special services that AION offers?

      We offer a whole range of special services that no others offer. If we have to name a few it would include affordable luxury vehicles, advance bookings, Ready Now bookings, baby seat, child seats, special needs assistance (foldable wheelchair passenger service), Inside the terminal pickup, hire car booking from interstate or overseas, commercial vehicles with professional safe drivers, safe and clean luxury cars, transparent uniform pricing with no surge pricing during peak demand periods (we are the most affordable hire cars during peak demand times) and a wide selection of cars for you to choose from.

  1. I’m going to the airport, can I use AION?


    Yes indeed. You can use the App or our web site to book cars on ‘Time booking’ (advance booking). Alternatively, you can use ‘Ready Now’ booking via our mobile App if you are ready to travel immediately.

  2. Can I book a ride for a friend?


    Yes, you can. However, for Next Available booking, you cannot have multiple bookings. For Time booking you can have multiple bookings. All notifications, however, will come to your phone only. It would be advisable to ask your friend to register with AION to avoid any booking confusions.

  3. Will my driver wait for me?


    Yes your driver will wait a maximum of 10 minutes from the time he arrives at the pickup location. The Driver will alert you as soon as he arrives at the pickup location.

  4. Are your fixed price taxi fares for Airport journeys cheaper than a normal taxi?


    We don’t have any fixed price option. You can check our fares using the fare estimator available in the App. Our luxury car fares are very close to the taxi fares.

  1. If my friends or I accidentally cause damage to the hire car or taxi what should I do?
  2. How do I request a car?

    It is very easy. You may book the car by assigning into the app and use App for Next Availble booking (if you are ready to travel at the time of booking) or Pre Booking (Time booking), if you want to travel in future. Pre Bookings also can be made on our web site. Our services, however, are available for only registered users.

  3. Should I tip my driver? How much?

    No there is no need for tipping the driver. However, if the driver has impressed you with an exceptional service and you wish to tip, you may do so. The tip amount is entirely up to you. You can pay the driver cash or by card (if card payment is accepted in his car).

  4. I’ve moved from my booked pickup location, what do I do?

    Please go to your bookings in the app and find a particular booking; click on it and then click edit booking button and then simply change the pickup address it will notify the driver. Alternatively, you may directly call up your driver who may agree to pick you up from your new location.

  5. How do I contact my driver?

    Yes you can contact your driver from the contact details provided by AION at the time of your booking allocation to driver. You may call your driver directly and discuss if you need any variations. Our drivers are quite considerate and will more than likely oblige any reasonable requests you may have.

  6. I have special pickup requirements, what do I do?

    Yes we can cater for special requirements when you make Advance Bookings (child seats, baby seats, assistance for foldable wheelchair passengers and extra luggage). However, we cannot ensure such services for ‘Next Available’ bookings.

  7. I can’t find my car?

    No problems. Please call your driver on his mobile phone number we have provided to you. If he is getting late, he will let you know straightaway. We have requested all our drivers to make contact with customers in the event of any problem and keep the customers informed at all times.

  8. When do I pay the driver?

    There are no payments to be made to the Driver. On completion of the trip, the driver will invoke trip completion on his phone and the fare will be automatically deducted from your nominated credit card that you have registered with us. And you will automatically receive the tax invoice in your provided email address.

  9. The app isn’t finding my exact location – what do I do?

    Please go to phone’s setting and allow AION App to allocate your location. If this doesn’t work please refresh you device. Or log-out of AION system and log-in again. Otherwise let us know through our contact form on website.

  10. Why should I rate my driver?

    Feedback helps us know where we can improve our services, so please take a moment to honestly rate your driver. It is up to you to decide what rating you should give. Excellent service is entitled to 5 stars and poor service one star. If you have problem with the driver whom you have given a poor rating, please let us know through our website contact form as to what made you do so. We will make efforts to get the issue resolved with the driver concerned.

  11. How do I know which car is for me?

    You would have been notified your car and driver details in the app and through the email once the booking is being assigned to driver.

  12. Can I cancel my car?

    Yes of course. However, you would be advised to check the cancellation terms and conditions on our website before cancelling the booking.

  13. Can I change my payment method?

    Yes you can edit details by logging into our system and change the required details. However, you cannot directly pay the driver by credit card or cash.

  14. What are your cancellation fees?

    Please read carefully our cancellation policy under terms and conditions. The cancellation charges are different for ‘Next Available’ bookings and Pre-Bookings.

  15. Do you provide any fixed price rides?

    No we don’t provide any fixed price rides.

  16. I’m stuck up, how long will the car wait for me?

    The car will wait up to 10 minutes from your requested pickup time or up to 10 minutes from the time the driver has arrived at your pickup location (whichever is later). The Driver will wait until this time and start the trip in the App. If you are going to be late, please directly contact and let the driver know. This will prevent your trip getting started without you on board or cancelled because you did not turn up on time.

  17. If my friends or I accidentally cause damage to the hire car or taxi what should I do?

    You are liable to pay for the damages or clean-up bill and must compensate the Driver. For instance if you vomit in the car after a night out, you will be required to pay for the clean-up of the car. If you cause any damage to the car, you have to pay the repair charges to the driver.

    1. I got in the wrong vehicle.

      We cannot do much about this. You need to ensure that you get into the right vehicle after checking with the Driver whose details are notified to you at the time of dispatch. It may so happen that you have got the right driver, but the vehicle could be different because the driver had to change his vehicle last minute after accepting the job. In case of any doubts please call your driver before getting into the waiting vehicle.

    1. Why can’t I find any drivers in my area?

      Due to heavy demand or your requirement for specific vehicle, we may not be able to service your request. Please check other vehicle types in our system if the car of your choice is not available.

    1. I cancelled my ride but my card has still been charged.

      Please refer to our cancellation policy. If we have made an error, and your claim is in accordance with the agreed terms and condition of our cancellation policy, we will refund any dues to you at the very earliest.

    1. My car has not arrived.

      This may be possible due to traffic conditions and other circumstances beyond the driver’s control. Please call your driver and discuss options with him.

    1. The driver had his meter on when I boarded?

      There are no meters in AION assigned vehicles other than Taxis booked through us. The AION fare is calculated in-App. The driver cannot start the trip until you have boarded the vehicle. However, if you are late by more than 10 minutes and have not informed the driver about the delay, then the driver may commence the journey without you. If you are unable to resolve the issue, please reach us through our website contact form.

    1. My card was charged but my car never arrived?

      Please ensure that you have communicated with your assigned Driver about this. Read the ‘No show’ clause under our cancellation policy, carefully. For any further assistance that you may need to reach us through our website contact form.

      Please immediately contact the Driver and get him to check and return your thing. Though we cannot take any responsibility for this, you may reach us through our website contact form for any further assistance you may need.

      You can rate later on as well go to trip history and go to particular trip and rate it. Or please reach us through our website contact form and we will let you know.

      Yes of course. You will incur additional charges as we do not provide fixed fee service.

    1. What is AION Pre booking?

      Pre booking is one of our signature services to help you book much in advance and enjoy the peace of mind by knowing for sure that a vehicle of your choice will be there on the day and time you need it. You can prior to your pickup time from anywhere in the world for any of the cities where we are operating. We would suggest you please read the terms and conditions of our cancellation policy before you pre-book.

    1. How does pre-booking work?

      You just select ‘Pre booking’ in your app, fill out the pickup date, time and location and any special requirements you may have. For airport pickups, you need to nominate flight details and local pickup time. Please read the cancellation policy carefully before you pre-book.

    1. Is there a minimum fare on pre-booked trips?

      Yes. The minimum fare is AUD 36.00 on Any Available Vehicle.

    1. Are toll fees and airport pickup fees charged extra?

      Yes; it’s not included in estimate fare. And it will be added in actual fare at end of the trip automatically. These will be included in the total fare you would pay.

    1. How much do I pay for requesting baby seat / child seat?

      We charge AUD 15.00 for every baby / child seat.

    1. Is there a booking fee?

      No there are no booking fees.

    1. How much does the service cost?

      Our fare estimator provides an estimate of the fare. We do not have fixed fare service.

      There is no set fare provision in our App currently.

    1. Can I pay by cash?

      No you cannot pay by cash. All payments will be deducted automatically from your credit card at the end of the trip. You need to be a registered user of our service.

    1. Why the price is high for wedding Cars/Bookings?

      For wedding booking system have to dispatch the booking at least couple of hours before pickup up time. It give enough time to make sure car is clean and it fulfil any special requirements such as ribbon etc. And Driver try to reach at pickup time at least 20mins early.

    1. Can I choose my vehicle type? Do I have any option of cars to choose from?

      Yes you can choose your Vehicle type. If we cannot find a suitable vehicle, we will give you the option to change the vehicle type so that we are able to serve you.

    1. Can I pre-book to go to the airport?

      Yes of course.

    1. Can I pre-book a car if I am carrying a foldable wheelchair?

      Yes you can. The only constraint is our hire cars and luxury taxis can provide assistance only to special needs passengers on foldable wheelchairs. We are unable to provide services to customers using fixed wheelchairs. Our special needs service is available for both ‘Next Available and ‘Pre booking’ customers. Our drivers will help you getting into and out of the vehicle.

    1. Can I pre-book for others?

      Yes of course.You can pre-book as many vehicles you need. However, all notifications will be issued to you. It may be better for them to register with AION directly. Multiple bookings are not available for Next Available bookings.

    1. When will I receive my driver’s details?

      As soon as the AION system finds a driver who has accepted your booking, our system will provide you with Driver’s contact details.

    1. What if I need to change the details of my journey?

      Yes, to change the details of your journey you will need to go to future bookings and edit the particular booking.

    1. What happens if my driver doesn’t arrive at my requested time?

      Please always contact driver and check his expected time of arrival at least ½ hour before the pick-up time. This will give you enough time to cancel the journey and re-book another vehicle.

      Yes indeed. You can make Pre Bookings from anywhere in the world to obtain services in cities where we are present. At the time of making the booking, you can select the city, provide flight details and local time for pickup. You can track the booking status on your mobile. We will ensure our professional driver is there to pick you up and take you to your destination, safely and comfortably.

      The payment for the ride is automatically deducted from your credit card. You do not need to worry about finding taxis at the airport. You can be a AION registered customer in London and can pre-book car in Melbourne through our App. If you have any special requirements such as baby seats, child seats etc. we can provide the same in compliance with the city laws.

  1. Will driver come inside the terminal with my name sign to greet me?

    Yes our professional drivers come inside the terminal to greet you; when you come out after the customs and immigration clearance area. The driver will have your name on a placard and wait for you. He will help you with your luggage and escort you to the waiting vehicle and take you safely to your destination. This service is available to all our registered customers who travel interstate or overseas to destinations where we are present. There are no additional charges for this service.
